We are a joint chapter of Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and the National Young Farmers Coalition located in Southwestern Colorado.
The Four Corners Farmers and Ranchers Coalition was formed in 2016 when our regional chapters of both Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and the National Young Farmers Coalition decided to join forces and merge into one organization.
A vibrant agricultural industry is essential to a healthy regional economy, our culture and quality of life. Our chapter is interested in federal, state and local policy relating to agriculture, farm and ranch management, young and beginning farmers, regenerative agriculture, rural issues, and business development. We hold regular meetings and sponsor a variety of programs and initiatives in our community.
We are excited to have a landing page for our chapter and hope we can use this space to connect and share important information with you all as we move forward.
Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is a progressive, grassroots organization dedicated to:
- achieving profitability for family farmers and ranchers
- promoting stewardship of land and water resources
- delivering safe, healthy food to consumers
- strengthening rural communities through education, legislation, and cooperation
- being the voice for family agriculture and rural communities.
Mission: The National Young Farmers Coalition represents, mobilizes, and engages young farmers to ensure their success.
Vision: We envision a country where young people who are willing to work, get trained, and take a little risk can support themselves and their families in farming.
